Happiness Fitness Workshop for Stress Reduction
What a relief! This is a light hearted and playful half day workshop for businesses
that examines the experience of stress in the body/mind.
- Participants will learn to engage their Inner Detective to understand how our thinking
contributes to our feelings of stress.
- Together we will explore and practice stress reduction techniques such as Breath of Joy
to disconnect from distorted thinking such as blaming, judging and labeling which clouds our
judgments and disconnects us from ourselves and others and ultimately causes more stress.
- Figuring out what we feel and what we need is difficult in a stressful moment. We can help
you figure that out.
- Learning to treat ourselves with compassion when we are in that stressful crunch is most
important when we are trying to resolve a crisis. Our cultural conditioning does not allow
for compassionate self-care. Being productive in the workplace often but not always means,
"We don't care how you make it happen, just make it happen now."
- We will learn why the language we usually use under stress contributes to more stress.
And we will practice ways of communicating that respect and value others.
- Learning to appreciate what is going well in a stressful situation is fun and diminishes
the rigid perspective of a fearful or angry reaction which always increases stress.
- Add to these techniques a hint of curiosity and fearlessness about stressful situations
and of course the wisdom of the heart and together we will adventure our way through stress.
