Happiness Fitness Retreat
A Happiness Fitness Retreat is for someone who wants to investigate the nature of
Happiness Fitness in themselves and the world around them. Activities include:
- Walking outside (rain or shine) to enjoy nature and to practice the technique of Boosting the Planet's Immune System.
- Introduction and practice of Meditation for 20-25 minutes and Walking Meditation.
- Practicing gentle beginner level Hatha Yoga for one and a half hours which will include Breath of Joy.
- Readings and discussions of poems written about happiness.
- Understanding what our conditions are for happiness.
- Activating our heart centres with laughter exercises.
- Enjoying eating one meal in silence as we investigate where happiness is in our food.
- Taking pleasure in practicing Proper Nutrition.
- Learning what opens the heart and what is the heart's language.
- Finding out about the qualities of the 'fearless heart' and how to work with our unhappiness.
- Writing a letter to ourselves to encourage us to engage the qualities of the 'fearless
heart' when life challenges us with experiences that are alarming, confusing and disheartening.
- Discovering how we can be more compassionate with ourselves.
- Creating a personal list of heart opening intentions for ourselves based on our needs.
A retreat is 1 day in length. Retreats are set in the country or city. Vegetarian meals are served. Retreats are
held in the fall and in the spring, two retreats per season. Cost of the retreat does not include transportation to
and from the site.
